Petrolia Fire Buys a New Engine
Petrolia Fire Buys a New Engine
After a long time fundraising (thank you to all that donate) and searching for the right engine Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department found a new engine. The new type 1 engine will be used primarily for structure fires and vehicle accidents.
The engine may be viewed rolling around town in the next few weeks as we outfit it for its new job. Meanwhile our older engine (aka yellowbird) will stay in service. It will be located at a secondary location to allow faster responses around A.W. way park than have been available before. Also by keeping a backup engine in the district, Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department can send strike teams to far away fires around the state as needed.
