I see smoke / I am having a medical issue / I witnessed a car Crash. what should I do?

Call 911. We will be directed to the fire from the report, as well as additional resources like CalFire , an ambulance from Fortuna, Honeydew Volunteer Fire Company, ect. That will ensure that the correct resources will get there as soon as possible. If after you call 911 you also call us (629-3535 for emergencies), that is okay. Just be aware that we will likely know at that point too.
 

I have a non-emergency question?

Call 707-629-3558 (non-emergency only) and leave a message if no one answers. We will get back to you as soon as possible. If it escalates to an emergency, call 911.
 

How can I help the department?

There are multiple ways to help us. You can join as a volunteer. No training needed to start. If you don’t want to do firefighting that’s okay too. There are opportunities to run dispatch or you can join the auxiliary department. Click here to learn more. If you cannot donate your time, we will gladly accept donations. Click here to donate.

Yes. Give us a call at 707-629-3558 and leave a message. We will give you some information on what is most important to make your home safe from wildfires. An ounce of preparation is worth a pound of cure.
